REVOLUTION DANCE ACADEMY (RDA) TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2023

 

1.BEHAVIOUR & ETIQUETTE

1.1. At RDA we do not tolerate bullying of any kind. Please see our Bullying Policy on our website.

1.2. Revolution Dance Academy reserve the right to remove from our programme, without refund, anyone who is found to be bullying, misbehaving or displaying disruptive behaviour.

1.3. We ask students & parents to be respectful to each other at all times in the dance hall, at events and at our drop off/pick up points. 

1.4. Good behaviour is expected in all classes. Students should be respectful to the teachers

1.5. RDA staff do not tolerate any verbal/physical abuse from parents or students, any individuals behaving in this manor will be asked to leave the premises and to not return. 

 

2.CHILD PROTECTION POLICY

2.1. RDA have a child protection policy in place that can be found on the website. Our students safety is important to us. 

 

3.FEES AND PAYMENTS:

3.1. I understand there is a £4 enrolment fee for new students (£3 for re enrolling students from the previous term only)

3.2. I understand that payments are due on the 1st of every month from September 2022 - June 2023

3.3. Payments are made using the class4kids system. 

3.4. RDA reserve the right to make changes to class fees and/or collection dates if necessary. In this case, you will be given notice prior to collection.

3.5. Fees are reviewed annually

3.6. Any late or unpaid fees will result in a £5 charge. 

 

4.LEAVERS POLICY:

4.1. In the event of my child withdrawing from any classes I must inform a principal teacher before cancelling any payments/standing orders.

4.2. If I have any outstanding balances, I understand these must be settled in full.

4.3. Any child leaving in the middle of the month will not be refunded for any classes they will be missing

 

5.MEDICAL WAIVER:

5.1. I understand that taking part in dance classes may result in injury, dancers take part at their own risk. RDA or any of their staff are not liable for any injuries sustained during classes. 

5.2. You must declare all medical conditions during registration and keep us up-to-date should this change by emailing/calling us on the details provided during registration. 

5.3. I authorise RDA to contact the persons named as parents or emergency contacts and to authorise the named first aider to render such treatment to my child and deemed necessary. 

 

6.MISSED/CANCELLED CLASSES:

6.1. I understand that if my child misses class for any reason, this will not be refunded. 

6.2. In the event of class being cancelled refunds will not be issued , however another class will be added in place of this during the term. If we are unable for whatever reason to schedule another class, only then will refunds will be given. 

6.3. Any classes that fall under 5 students in total will be subject to being cancelled.

 

7.PERSONAL BELONGINGS

7.1. Dancers should try to only bring to class their required uniform/note book/ stretching equipment and avoid bringing valuables to class.

7.2. Revolution Dance Academy takes no responsibility for any lost personal belongings that are brought to class.

 

8.PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO

8.1. You must declare if you do not want your child to be photographed for marketing use, and keep us up-to-date should this change using the given email address or phone number.

 

9.PROGRESSION

9.1. I understand that as trained professionals, it is our Principal teachers decision on when a child should move up a level/class. Progressing a child too soon can negatively effect the learning process.

 

10.SAFETY

10.1. It is your responsibility to ensure your child is well supervised outside the building when waiting to enter classes & when being picked up from classes. Children under the age of 12 should not be left on their own outside the building. We do ask that parents are on time for pick ups to avoid this.

11.UNIFORM

11.1. Uniform is compulsory at RDA. Every student should wear the uniform set for their class (This information will be available on enrolment & on our website.

11.2. I understand RDA allows up to a 2 month settling in period for my child and then uniform must be purchased & worn to every class.

11.3. During the settling in period your child should wear dance appropriate clothing, ie black leggings & t-shirt with comfortable trainers

11.4. Students should always have their hair tied back neatly in a pony tail or bun.

12.OTHER

12.1. Good attendance is required at RDA. This is essential to get the most out of the classes & for purposes of spacing etc for shows/performances. 

12.2. I understand that If I have any questions/queries I should contact one of the RDA principals via Email/Whats App/Text at a reasonable time (Between 9am - 9pm). 

12.3. RDA principals aim to get back to you within a few hours but may take a little longer on busier days and after working hours. 

12.4. Due to the nature of the activity, physical contact may be necessary between teacher & student and between Student/Peers for the purpose of correcting body placement, spotting skills, stretching and within choreography ie balances/lifts etc. This will always be done in a professional & appropriate manor.

12.5. It is your responsibility to keep your address & emergency contact details up to date to avoid missing any information regarding your Childs class.

12.6. Students should not attend class if they are feeling unwell
